My senior school was in Old Portsmouth, so I spent a lot of my time there between the ages of 11 and 17, together with a lot of my social time.
If I go for a walk, there is always a good chance I will end up there, sitting on a bench watching the world go by, daydreaming, watching the sea, having a coffee or a cold pint on a warm summers day.
It is a place steeped in history and you can’t help this sinking in when sitting back and taking it all in. With Henry VIII, Nelson, Duke of Buckingham, home to the Royal Navy, HMS Victory, Mary Rose and the Warrior.
It is probably the widest photographed areas of Portsmouth and there must be a phenomenal number of photographs of the Spinnaker Tower out there now, so I hope you like my take on this iconic building.
